Community First Foundation

Community First Foundation is a community foundation that harnesses the Power of Philanthropy to strengthen the metropolitan Denver community. They use their resources to fund vital community initiatives, support nonprofit organizations, and assist individuals with charitable giving. Community First Foundation helps donors support charitable causes through planned giving and Donor Advised Funds, and offer grants, fund management, and education to nonprofits. They have been serving the community since their founding in 1975. Since 1975, they have returned more than $35 million to the community to promote well-being. They are stewards of the funds of over 70 nonprofit organizations.

Colorado Humanities is the recipient of a Community First Foundation Challenge Grant. Through the Challenge Grant, the Foundation will match 50 cents for every dollar up to $80,000. The Challenge Grant funds will support a permanent endowment established at the Foundation.

It is important to note for donors that the Foundation also guarantees five percent interest and will not charge administrative fees during the challenge periods.
