We are very grateful that you are considering a gift to support Colorado Humanities.
We understand that you believe in the work of Colorado Humanities and you want to contribute to the longevity of CH and support its good work and positive impact on children, young people, families, and communities. We also understand that you want your gift to make a difference while providing for your future financial needs.
Please plan your gift thoughtfully and thoroughly while considering how your gift can benefit both of us. You can start the process now, on this website. We are ready to work with you and your advisors to design a gift plan that meets your goals and objectives.
Before you begin, consider some of the financial tools and questions asked by donors in determining a plan that will also return benefits to you.
- Do I have to use cash to make a gift? No. You can give CH appreciated securities instead, and use an asset that costs you less than the tax deduction you’ll receive for it today.
- Will CH accept assets that aren’t benefiting me now; such as a life insurance policy that I no longer need, or a piece of real estate like a second home or undeveloped land, or a collection of books or artwork that I no longer have room to display? Yes. We can help and we can also work with your advisors to determine the right plan for you.
- Is there a gift that costs me nothing during my lifetime? Yes. You can make CH a beneficiary of your will or revocable trust, or a beneficiary of your retirement plan, and leave your cash flow and current financial planning uninterrupted.
- Can I make CH a giving partner? Yes. You can deed us your home but continue to live there, you can sell us property at a charitable discount, and you can make a gift that pays you lifetime income.
You can learn more about these planned gifts on this website. When you’re ready to go forward or just learn more, complete the Information Request Form for follow-up information. We would be glad to help.
