DESCRIPTION:Since 1976\, state humanities councils have been recreating the tent Chautauqua. August 1 – 5\, 2022\, High Plains Chautauqua at Aims Community College and other locations in Greeley\, Colorado\, features evening presentations by outstanding scholars portraying historical figures and offers a series of interactive daytime programs. Chautauqua offers the option to participate in a deeper discussion of the issues presented in the historical context of character portrayals with the scholar/actors and other participants. All events are free. New this year is Family Night\, featuring Angel Vigil as El Vaquero teaching rope tricks.
