DESCRIPTION:Colorado Humanities will premiere an online panel discussion\, Voting Access & Security\, on January 16 at 6 p.m. The first of four discussions will be available for viewing on MLK Day focused on addressing voting rights\, equity challenges\, and solutions. \nPanelists Jefferson County Clerk & Recorder-elect Amanda Gonzalez\, Mesa County Election Administrator Sheila Reiner\, and National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Legal Defense & Educational Fund Fellow Tanner Lockhead discuss voting laws\, rights\, and solutions for our state and country. SUMMARY:Veterans Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Our Building Skills Through Writing series for current and veteran military personnel and their families is based on Erin Hice’s book\, Staying Sane in an Insane World: From A to Z\, and offers participants the opportunity to choose from a variety of writing prompts on topics such as authenticity\, courage\, jobs\, resilience\, ownership\, and purpose. The workshops are designed to help participants hone life skills based on their individual strengths that enhance the communication\, creative thinking\, and problem solving so critical in our competitive world. \nFree workshops will be led by Erin Hice\, daughter of a veteran\, and will include a copy of her timely and transformative book Staying Sane in an Insane World: From A to Z.
