Played by Jessica Downing-Ford, Abigail served as our first Second Lady and our second First Lady. She felt strongly that women should be formerly educated and have rights independent of their husbands. In a time where Coverture was law, Abigail made and kept “Money which I call mine.” An avid letter writer, more than two thousand of her letters still exist creating an unparalleled narrative of her time.
