A wonderfully inspiring and compelling illustration of young Colorado talent, the newly published anthology contains all winning Colorado entries from this year’s Letters About Literature and River of Words student competitions. Both competitions are free and open to Colorado students. For Letters About Literature, students in grades 4 through 12 wrote a letter to an author of their choice, expressing how that author has made an impact on their lives. For River of Words, an environmental poetry and art contest, students aged 5 through 19 created original poems or artwork reflecting their observations and feelings about their physical surroundings in Colorado. The full color, perfect bound edition contains dozens of entries from K-12 students statewide. 42 pages.
