Why Now?
On April 2, 2025, the NEH and DOGE cancelled all grants/funding to state humanities councils. A new capacity-building business model has been designed, but bridge funding is critical to put it into action and ensure free, statewide humanities programming continues. The work of Colorado Humanities ensures that Colorado's many histories, ideas, and cultural resources are preserved, shared, and passed on to future generations.

How Can I Help?
As a Champion, you're helping to raise awareness and support for the programs that connect, educate, and inspire Coloradans across generations. There are three ways to become a champion:
- Build a fundraiser
- Advocate

Support any cause important to you based on these four categories:

Community Connections Champions
Knowledge Champions
Heritage Champions
This is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the humanities and want to take a more active role. Take charge and do outreach in your own communities, set a goal of your choice, and invite others to join. This option involves some time commitment to set up your cause and consistent efforts to drive people to your fundraiser.

Advocate
Help spread the word through your own networks.
This option is ideal for those who may not have the time to fully manage a fundraiser but still want to participate. It's flexible, and you can contribute the level of time and effort that works best for you.
