HIGH PLAINS CHAUTAUQUA

2023 High Plains Chautauqua

2023’s High Plains Chautauqua festival, “Oh, the Places We’ve Been,” took place on Monday, July 31 until Friday morning, August 4. For the first time, the festival moved inside to Aims Community College Welcome Center, located at 4901 W 20th St, Greeley, CO 80634.

Young Chautauquans performed Monday afternoon, July 31, and kicked off each evening with their cameo portrayals. There was a robust line-up of daytime programs, as well as evening programs including character portrayals of Mariano Medina, Thomas Jefferson, Nelly Bly, Ernest Shackleton, the Legendary Ladies, Paul Robeson, Robert Ripley, and for the first time an opportunity to hear from Astronaut Richard Hieb.
