FACILITATOR TRAINING

Learn How to Facilitate Community Conversations

The Facilitator Training for Reflective Conversations prepares people to plan and facilitate conversations about vital issues and questions across different beliefs and backgrounds. Training participants will learn about conversation facilitation, have an opportunity to practice new skills and techniques, reflect on and share their own beliefs and assumptions, and listen to beliefs, backgrounds, and experiences differing from their own. Upon completion of the training, participants will leave feeling more confident and better equipped to observe and respond to group dynamics as well as design and facilitate a conversation that allows people to learn more about themselves and each other. Participants will then use the framework and tools to facilitate conversations in their workplace or community.

Register for Spring Training – April 27 & 28, 2026

Join us for our Facilitator Training on April 27 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Centennial for individuals interested in facilitating community conversations.

This training prepares people to plan and facilitate conversations about vital issues and questions across different beliefs and backgrounds to build understanding and strengthen relationships within organizations and communities. Coloradans who complete the training will be certified to facilitate community conversations with our organization throughout the state. Conversation topics explored in the training include race and ethnicity, dying and grief, war and veteran experience, and change in rural Colorado. This two-day training is priced at $300 per participant.

As part of joining our facilitator network, participants will also be invited to periodic reconvenings with other trained facilitators across Colorado. These gatherings create space to exchange ideas, reflect on facilitation experiences, deepen practice, and build relationships with others doing this work in their communities.

During the training, you will

  • Learn about facilitation and reflective conversation
  • Practice new skills and techniques
  • Reflect on and share your own beliefs and assumptions, and listen to beliefs, backgrounds, and experiences different than your own
  • Design and participate in reflective conversations with debriefs that analyze facilitation tools and choices.

You will leave feeling more confident and equipped to

  • Observe and respond to group dynamics
  • Design and facilitate a conversation that allows people and groups to learn more deeply about themselves and each other
  • Use our framework and tools to facilitate a reflective conversation at your workplace or in your community work.

Please complete the interest form [1] by April 17, 2026.
