Music & Merriment

The Museum of Western Colorado, Colorado Humanities, and local partners will present Music & Merriment September 9 – 10, 2022. Performances, lectures, musical groups, and presentations by local Grand Valley History Players, and national scholars will be offered at the Grand Valley Events Center after an opening night at the Museum of Western Colorado. 10 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. — (Colorado Mesa University – Houston Hall Room 104) David Fenimore speaks about Woody Guthrie and his musical legacy.

10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. — (Mesa County Public Library Community Room) Susan Marie Frontczak speaks about Erma Bombeck and her life.


Performances and Lectures, Grand Valley Events Center – 2400 Consistory Court

6 p.m. — Doors Open, Live Music, Food by Lotus’s Mobile Munchies

7 p.m. — David Fenimore as Woody Guthrie
