In the spirit of the 150th anniversary celebration of John Wesley Powell’s trip down the Green and Colorado Rivers in 1869, the Honorable Judge Gregory Hobbs will be talking about Powell’s vision for the West, the Colorado River Compact of 1922, and the status of the new Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan and what it means to the future of the West. This will be free event for FLC students, faculty, staff and the public.

 

Gregory J. Hobbs, Jr., is the Distinguished Jurist in Residence and Co-Director of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program, University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is also is currently serving as a Senior Water Judge for the Colorado Courts and is assigned to the mediation of water cases.
